The Gods Respectively
This era there are four first generation gods, one of which is clinically deceased. The dead one is Iawat, who's immortal essence forms the fabric of all matter.
The wife of Iawat, Fahra the Dreamqueen, is the godess who is also a widow. Her sister Maga (which is irl the Mycenian name for Gaya) is the godess that lives and rules from the elemental realm of Earth, which is also the plane where anger and hate come from.
Thanatos is the god that guides the mortals dreamt by Fahra through their lives. He is the pathwalker, the keeper and the guardian of lost souls.
Iawat left two sons to rule the world together, though they do not quite get along well.
Solar is a second generation god. He can be described as a huge lizzard that lives under the world and collects creatures banished so deep into the underdark they come out the other side. He then devours them and throws his burning faeces in an arc towards the Empire of Maga, which is impenatrable from the outside and connects to the world with an umbelical cord that spawns new creatures to battle and destroy from the Pit.
Omonos is the second son of Iawat and Fahra, also 2nd gen. He is the master of storms, lightning and thunder. He rules over Omonosia, while his older brother Solar supervises the Solarian Theocracy, also called the Sons of Solar.
The other two second generation gods are The Gardener and Lyrian, who had spawned from the womb of Fahra after an affair with Thanatos.
This double birth had been the blackest of days ever since, until the great pruner turned it gray. Omonos and Solar had pulled the firstborn from the womb of Fahra and threw it into the void, where it stayed for 29 centuries. Thanatos immediately went after his child, who would later prove to be invaluable for many great causes.
The second child was protected by an intervention from Maeruhnez. This new god, who had once been mortal; fended off the two wrathful deities and did so death after death, earning his rise as the phoenix into the elemental plane of fire, through the void and, after bidding Thanatos farewel; quenching his immortal thirst in the primal flow.
Lyrian, the second god to be spawned by Thanatos and Fahra, owed his very existence to "Uncle Maeruhnez." He would recieve the love reserved for two children, while Thanatos searched the great void for his first son.
Lyrian had become a hermafrodite, for the Gardener in his own right was nothing yet, just to be a form to fill the Void with divinity.
After Thanatos had found his 29 centuries old son, he decided to let him live in a world that had become quite chaotic, by anyone's standards.
The Gardener would from then on be working hard, telling people to clean up their act and hand over all their epic gear after retiring.
Lyrian was a little disappointed that he couldn't play with all of his toys anymore, but the favorites he could keep. No more pink or purlpe elephants, just gray and dark brown furry ones would do.
Maeruhnes had kept his word and would be a full god from then on, he had kept the peace for his sacrifice had been his triumph.
Zhul is a different story and because of him Maeruhnes had been able to spawn yet another prodiginal god: Crispin.
